You are starting to say "no". Almost every time we ask you something you say yes or shake your head/whole body, yes. But now you are catching on and saying " no" to things that you don't want to do. Last night daddy asked "want to go read a book?" Without hesitating you answered "NO" because you knew shortly after reading a book then it would be bedtime. You are getting too smart! It was very cute and we had a good laugh. You still read a book with daddy and went to bed though...love you so much!

Camping 2015
So this whole week we have been camping with the church. You have been very grumpy and not letting anyone else hold you and you really don't want them looking at you either. I hope you know the dirty looks you are giving anyone who comes near you that isn't me will not be quite as cute in a few years! This week has been fun and exhausting. We both miss daddy and I think that's a lot of why you are grumpy. You've loved playing on the train and swings at the playground and you are loving the dirt also. Although it has been a tough week we are making many memories!

You Soften My Heart
From the day you were born I knew you would amaze me. Every day, I find myself just watching you, captivated by everything new you do. So many times I hear of moms just wanting to survive the day, just get through it and keep moving forward. I would be lying if I said I didn't have days like that with you, but God always reminds me somehow that every minute with you is a blessing and not to be rushed through. Just yesterday, I packed you up in the car for our weekly day of errands before work was to start. I knew 4 different stores in a matter of a couple hours was going to be tough but you did great. While walking out of the last store, almost at the point of lets just survive this ride home and on the verge of frustration since you had just had it with this morning of errands, God softened my heart. As I'm carrying you on one hip and a grocery bag is hanging from my other hand you start reaching down towards it and doing your little squeaky grunt that means you want something...about to become one that much closer to frustration I ask myself "what does she want?" and as I lift my hand up with the bag in it to readjust you on my hip, you grab a hold of the bag with me and hold it tight. You have to be doing what mommy is doing, and you have a heart that always wants to help. It was the sweetest thing you did all morning and my heart melted. My little helper. If I had rushed through the moment just to get you to the car and in the car seat to get that whiny moment over, I would've deprived you of your chance to "help" and my chance to have a softened heart like God desires for us mommies, rather than the frustrated self I was quickly becoming. Thank you for these small life lessons you are already teaching me. I love you with all I have and more. My oldest blessing.
